Its main headqurters are located in Ingolstadt, Bavaria and was founded by Agust Horch in Zwickau in 1909.Audi got its name from the founder, Horch=listen=audi. It has been fully bought into the Volkswagen group in 1964, which used some of Audis designs to produce more models for themself and actually jump start Volkswagen again. In 1928 Audi was bought by Jorgen Rasmussen and made part of the Auto union. In 2008 Audi passed a personal record selling over 1 million cars worldwide. Today Audi s considered one of the best cars in the world due to its very fine quality and performance, and if you ever drive one you will know why.
