BMW

BMW short for Bayrische Motoren Werke AG, is a German car, engine, and motorcycle manufactorer that is located in, as the name already suggests, in Munich, Bayern, Germany. It was founded in 1916 by the Austrian, Franz Josef Popp. BMW is the owner of two other car manufactorers, the "Mini" and "Rolls Royce Cars". There is a lot of dispute as to where the emblem comes from, in the BMW car museum it states that it was created to show the colors of the state of Bavaria, who has a typical light blue and white checkered flag. On the other hand people say that it signifies a spinning white propeller that is cutting through the blue air, people say this because BMW started as an aeroplane engine producer, was then forced by the Versailles Treaty to cease this production and so then in 1923 they started making making motorcycles and then in 1928 they started making cars. BMW is considered by many to be one of the most luxurious affordable cars to go around and it frequently competes with Audi and Mercedes to win the title of being the best of the three, with Audi winning in 2009. BMW is also big in the formula one where they shared a team with Sauber but stepped out of formula one in the end of the 2009 season because of the lack of profit from this. Im personally not so crazy about BMW but i think it has style. The car I like the most is the new BMW X6 which is truly a remarkable car with an extraordinary design and performance. During the 2009 Season I rooted for BMW since it had my favorite driver of that time, Robert Kubica. Even though i dont really like BMW I have to admit it is an superb car.
