Mercedes

Mercedes-Benz also known as just Mercedes is a german car manufactorer founded in 1881 in Stuttgart, Germany. It was founded by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler and now it is a division of Daimler AG. It is part of the automobile industry and produces cars, trucks, and buses. Its main competitors are Audi, BMW, MAN, Scania, and Volkswagen. Mercedes Benz started in 1881 but did not achieve any success until 1886 when Karl Benz invented the first petrol powered motorcycle, and when Gottlieb Daimler along with his friend Willhelm Maybach transformed a Bollée steam engine into a petrol powered engine. The first car with the independant name of "Mercedes-Benz" was produced in 1926 after Daimler merged with Benz. Karl Benz named the company Mercedes-Benz after his daughter who he loved and respected very much. Mercedes Benz is also very involved in the Formula one. They have three championships, one with lewis Hamilton, and two with Mika Häkinnen. Recently they sold their part of Mc laren Mercedes to Mc laren and bought 70% of Brawn GP. Personally I like Mercedes a lot but it is the one of the main competitors of Volkswagen so i cannot support them. I think Mercedes produces high quality cars that are very comfortable and even though my family never owned one i have sat in quiet a few and I always liked them. My whole family likes BMW much more than Mercedes but I dont and I dont care. My favorite Mercedes car is the Mercedes Benz M-Class.
