Opel

Adam Opel GmbH is full name of the german car manufactorer Opel. It was founded on 21 January, 1863 by Adam Opel. Founded and based in Rüsselheim, Opel is from origin a purely german car manufactorer. It was taken over by GM in 1929 and lost its german trademark in 2005. The way in which Opel began is one of the most diverse stories i have heard. It goes as follows, Adam Opel was originally a sewing machine maker who produced his products in a cow shed, as he did quality work, his business expanded and he moved to a bigger building where he decided he would start building bicycles. Both of these products become top of the line due to their superb quality. Adam Opel then died 1895 and his sons took over and decided to start producing cars. The First partner they had was not very successful and so they quit and started with another firm called Darraqc. in 1901 they quit their contract with Lutzmann(the first partner), in 1907 with Darraqc, in 1911 the factory burned down, and in 1914 they they were the biggest german car manufactorer. From then one Opel had a few ups and downs, and then in 2008 when GM bankrupted it was supposed to have been sold but hasnt and has still been in GMs possession. I really dont care for Opel as they have horrible designs for cars and even worse quality, it is nearly an opposite to any other german car producer and im embarrassed to say that its a car from Germany. I dont like the fact that its one of the oldest, most traditional German cars and it is more of an American car, and has even left the german stock market, and i cant help but feel like this is a treacherous act. It has more French and American influence than German and it is one of the car brands that i would not drive, buy, or even take for free.

Wow, not even for free? The story is interesting, though.
