Nissan

Nissan Jidōsha Kabushiki-gaisha, known as Nissan Motor Company Ltd., known just as Nissan is the last japanese car manufactorer im going to talk about. It was founded as Datsun in 1914 the name coming from the first letter of each name of of each founder, which were Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama, and Meitaro Takeuchi. Known before as Datsun it has broken away from this company name in 1918 to Kwaishinsha Motorcar Co. Then again in 1925 it changed to DAT Motorcar Co. and again in 1933 to Jidosha-Seizo Co., Ltd.Finally it was named to Nissan in 1934 under the management of Yoshisuke Aikawa. It is the third biggest asian car manufactorer, and along with Honda, and Toyota, one of the biggest competitors of the detroit three in the USA. Its subsidiaries are Infinit, Nissan Forklift, and Nissan Marine. Of Nissan 44.3% is owned by Renault, while it itself has 15 % of Renault shares. Like many other car manufactorer Nissna has recently suffered a recall of 205 thousand cars all over the world. In August 2009 the car, forklift, and motor manufactorers headquarters have been shifted to Nishi-ku, Yokohama. I regard Nissan cars with a certain bemusement, especially when it comes to the naming of cars (Qash Qai) and i dont think that they will ever reach a higher succes than they already have, and i think that this car manufactorer will shortly die out. I think that the car designs of Nissan are ugly, and the fact that they are said to have some of the best engines, encourages speculation in me. You will not see many nissan cars nearly anywhere in the world except Japan and the USA and this just proves my point, they concentrate on affordabilty and not quality or performance.
